Collector's Notes:  While this find is made from many pieces, they seem to more or less fit together into one larger oriented stone.  The finders were not able to find the entirety of the meteorite, but I was able to put together much of it.  I decided to keep the main mass, which is nicely fluted on one side, and make the rest available to collectors.  The fragmented nature of this find is very helpful for me because I want to avoid cutting Ureilite at all costs.  The nano-diamonds are an absolute saw blade destroyer.  Sometimes the graphite heavy Ureilite cuts ok, but this is not that material, lol.  You will be happy to have some of this PAC group meteorite in your collection.

Class information:  Ureilites are a rare class of primitive achondrite meteorites best known for their unusual composition and high carbon content. They are primarily made of olivine and pyroxene crystals, but what sets them apart is the presence of graphite and nanodiamonds, which likely formed under intense shock pressures during massive asteroid collisions. Unlike other achondrites that record extensive igneous processing, ureilites preserve evidence of both partial melting and rapid cooling, suggesting they formed in the mantle of a small, carbon-rich parent body that was later disrupted by impacts. Their exotic chemistry and unique textures make them key samples for understanding carbon rich planetary materials and the violent history of asteroid evolution in the early Solar System.
