A scarce Edition de Luxe copy of British Traditional Colours, produced by the British Colour Council in connection with the Coronation of His Majesty King George VI and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1937.

This special deluxe edition was strictly limited to just 250 numbered copies and is signed by Edward Stanley, 17th Earl of Derby.

The book was produced as an exceptional record of traditional British ceremonial colours and contains numerous genuine mounted textile/fabric samples, illustrating colours associated with royal and ceremonial dress, heraldry, orders of knighthood, military traditions and other historic British institutions.

Beautifully produced and considerably scarcer than the standard edition, this is an unusual piece of British royal, coronation and textile history and would make an excellent addition to a specialist collection.
