Finally decided to sell my beloved Mega Drive.
I have owned this for over 30 years now, and its time to let it go.

It is complete with one Sega Handset and one Competition Pro Series II controller handset.
The original instructions are also included in their original bag,
Console bag and Sega Controller bag are also original.

The internal plastic packaging is in really great condition, and has survived better than the other cardboard types you see.
The cardboard cover that goes over the stored parts is also great.
The outer box has survived really well, I personally would mark it as an 8 out of 10, not perfect buy very presentable.

The Sonic cart included in this package has the usual wear to its paper label from many years of play, but it is legible and not torn.

The unit comes with a UK plug pack, as thats where I bought it all that time ago, easy to use with a UK/AUS travel adaptor.

The main console is virtually unmarked, with no cracks, scratches etc, All connectors and external controlls are fully functional.
Both hand controllers work like new, with no intermittent buttons.

To ensure that this unit is fully functioning when shipped, I have performed some maintenance on the console and the Sonic cart.
I stripped the console down, inspected the PCB carefully for any damage or degradation. The cart interface connector has been cleaned with Isopropyl Alcohol and contact cleaning strips, nothing abrasive!

Note that this unit carries an original Motorola MC68000 processor and a Zilog Z80.
All IC's are branded as shown and date codes on them vary from week 44 of 1992 to week 05 1993. These are in keeping with the motherboard assembly date of 21st April 1993.

The Sonic cart has bee dissassembled, cleaned inside and the edge connector cleaned and buffed.
The date code on the IC for this asssembly is week 24 of 1992, again in keeping with the whole package.

Have a detailed look at the photographs to see what I am referring to, in terms of the electronics.

Some of you might notice the green LED on the PCB whilst I was running the console, stripped down.
This was a temporary fit, so I could ascertain the power on status. On completion of servicing, I reinstated the original red LED wiring.

I have run the console with other carts that I have, Sonic 2, Streets of Rage I, Streets of rage II, all perform flawlessly.
These carts will be available on my other listings, both streets of rage carts are complete, boxed with instructions and are near mint!
If you are interested in these, keep an eye out for them on my listings.

Any questions? Just ask me

This is a great collectors piece, with a known history from myself. You will not be dissapointed with this package!
