Roberts' success was so vast that he is considered the most successful pirate in history, commanding powerful ships like the Royal Fortune, bristling with 42 to 52 cannons .

Fair shares of booty – The captain and quartermaster each received two shares

No women or boys – Strict prohibition

Compensation for injuries – 800 pieces of eight for lost limbs
