This fantastic and quite rare Civil War period, CDV photo measures approx. 2 1/2" by 4" (including the original, square cornered card mount). The CDV features a central portrait of Jefferson Davis, the President of the CSA. Surrounding Davis’ portraits are bust portraits of his cabinet members and leading Southern Politicians including Alexander H. Stevens (Vice President), Judah P. Benjamin (Secretary of War), R. Barnwell Rhett, John B. Floyd, William L. Yancey, Isham G. Harris, Robert Toombs (Secretary of State), John Slidell, James M. Mason, and Henry A. Wise.

    This rare and original, Composite, Albumen CDV Photograph is in excellent condition - both the Image and the card mount are generally clean and crisp and very attractive. The Photo itself exhibits sharp focus, strong contrast and rich tonality. The card mount is clipped at the corners to facilitate insertion into a period Photo Album but is otherwise clean and crisp and very well preserved.
