Very nicely constructed of solid koa wood. The grinding mechanism is modern and has two plastic gears which slip if you try to grind, otherwise the grinder pieces are metal. But it looks terrific and would make a great display piece.
If you really want to grind some coffee with it, the mechanism is still available for purchase online for around $35. You'd be able to use it for about a year or so before the gears would where to the point where they slipped too much to make it usable.
