Zero Wiring, Zero Running Cost

A good day of light gives up to twelve hours after dark. Run time varies with the season and with how much daylight the panel actually receives, so expect the full twelve in summer and less through the shortest weeks of winter.

Cut Through, Not Printed On

The number and street name are laser cut clean through the front panel, so the mirror back panel reads through the letterforms. There is no ink and no vinyl sitting on the surface to fade, lift or peel.

The light unit is IP65 rated and fully waterproof, built to stay out through driving rain on an exposed front elevation rather than be brought in for the season.

Three Fronts, Three Mirrors

The front panel sets the tone against your wall. The mirror panel behind it is what the cut letters read as, and what catches the LED wash at night.

Matt Black

A flat, non-reflective black that throws the mirror behind it into sharp relief. The safest read against red brick and painted render.

Matt Grey

Softer than black against pale stone, grey composite doors and anthracite window frames, and slower to show dust on an exposed wall.

Gloss White

Holds the LED wash brightest after dark and sits naturally against white render or a light stone surround.

Mirror Gold

A warm brass tone through the letterforms that shifts as you come up the path and catches the light from the doorstep.

Mirror Rose Gold

A softer copper cast, warmer again than gold under the cool white LEDs and quieter in daylight.

Mirror Silver

A cool chrome read that pairs cleanly with stainless door furniture, black ironmongery and modern glazing.

Fitting

Getting It On The Wall

Everything needed to fix the sign is in the box. Twenty minutes and a drill.

Choosing The Position

The light unit only performs as well as the daylight it is given, so this decision matters more here than on an unlit sign. Choose a spot that sees open sky for a good part of the day and avoid deep porches, north-facing recesses and anywhere overhung by a canopy or dense planting. Eye level or a little above reads well both from the pavement and from a driver's window.

Marking And Drilling

Hold the sign flat against the wall and mark the four fixing points, checking with a level before you drill. A square panel shows a tilt plainly. Drill and plug the wall, then fit the four female adapters using the screws supplied.

Fitting The Sign

Bring the sign up to the wall and seat the four hidden standoffs onto the adapters. The standoffs carry the panel just clear of the brickwork, so the fixings stay out of sight and the sign reads as though it is floating.

First Use And Care

Give the unit a full day of daylight before the first night, and the sensor takes over from there. Wipe the front face with a soft damp cloth as needed, and keep the solar panel clear of dust, moss and fallen leaves — anything sitting on it shortens the run time before it shortens anything else.
