You are bidding on a 2 inch piece of walrus or mammoth tusk.  The material is thousands of years old and was hand carved in Indonesia by artist T S Babah.  I've held on to it for 20 years with the intention of making a pendant out of it but I never could, it is so perfect just the way it is.  Framed in a shadow box would be a nice way to display it.
