Silver Fox BR Swindon Class 123 Inter City DMU Conversion Kit

This kit is designed to convert four standard BR Mk1 coaches into a Swindon class 123 Inter City DMU.

This kit comprises of:

 - Precision cast resin cabs with flush glazing x 2

- Laser cut thin plastic replacement overlay sides with doors scored and with glazing x 4 pairs

- Vinyl self-adhesive grab handles and vinyl self-adhesive strips for door handles, grab rails and windscreen wipers

- Exhausts x 2 pairs

- Full set of underframe and solebar components

The donor coaches required for this kit are: Second Open TSO/SO x 2, Corridor Composite CK x 1, Corridor Second SK x 1

Bachmann or current Hornby coaches are recommended, as these have the correct pattern gangways and come with with B4 bogies.

To fit the overlays, all raised detail needs to be removed from coach sides and a strip removed where the replacement glazing will fit.

On two of the coaches, the ends need to be removed to fit the cabs.

The underframe detail will also need to be modified.

These will be detailed in the instructions.

A suitable powered mechanism is also required. The Hornby Class 121 or Replica motorised chassis are recommended.

The final pictures show each of the four different coach types made up using Replica donor parts. The final picture shows a fully painted and finished model.
