On
offer is a good example of the book titled "The Mosquito
Manual". The manual was originally produced for military
personnel and government use during World War II, and it provided
highly detailed technical information on the de Havilland Mosquito
fighter plane. Please
note that I am not a book collector, and I haven't graded this book
as I wouldn't know where to begin. My personal opinion is that it is
in good/very good condition, but I appreciate that opinions differ
which is why I have tried to pick out all the faults that I can see.

This
book is a first edition from 1977, that was published by the Arms and
Armour Press. It is volume 6 in the RAF Museum Series, and was
printed by Billing & Sons Ltd. It measures about 23cm x 16cm (9"
x 6¼"),
and contains 351pp bound in dark green boards. Titling to the spine
is in gold gilding. The binding is good and firm, and there are no
loose or missing pages. Throughout the book are diagrams and line
drawn illustrations, and there is also detailed fold-out sheet
opposite the title page. There is a little creasing to the edge of
this sheet, and a couple of pages have light creases but nothing that
really detracts at all. The pages are all very lightly tanned, but
they are clean and without any rips or repairs.
The
cover is good, and has been well protected by the pictorial
dust jacket. There are one of two minor handling marks to the cover, a little light corner bumping, and light bumping to
the bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is complete and without any
rips or repairs. It does have some marking, and signs of handling and use, and fading at the spine area. The price has not been
clipped.
Despite
the minor cosmetic faults this is a lovely vintage book. It displays
well, and will make a good addition to any collection.
