A beautiful mid-to-late 20th-century hand-carved decorative piece that is so reminiscent of the sculptures of nomadic Tuareg tent architecture.

This wooden tribal sculpture has such impact and showcases intricate carvings that capture the essence of Tuareg culture and aesthetics.

It has a real presence about it and seems to use natural pigment colours in its decoration.

Pieces like this were often used to display head-dress pieces.

We aren’t aware of the exact origins of this piece as it was donated to our hospice by the generous owners along with some other stunning pieces.

It measures 121cm tall including the presentation plinth/base, and its base measures 24cm x 24cm in width and depth.

This is a preowned item - please have a look at the photographs for further information on the condition.
