Centon MC 50mm f/1.8 Manual Focus Lens – Minolta MC Mount

Vintage Centon MC 50mm f/1.8 manual-focus prime lens, made in Japan.

Condition

The lens is in good overall cosmetic condition for its age.

The aperture ring operates freely through its settings. The focus is smooth through most of its range but becomes noticeably stiffer towards the closest focusing distances, approximately 0.5–0.45m.

Optics

The glass is generally clear, but there is some light haze around approximately one-sixth of the outer edge. When examined under strong light, several small internal spots/marks are also visible near the centre. These may be fungus, although I am unable to confirm this.

The optical imperfections have been disclosed above and the photographs should be examined carefully.

The lens has not been tested photographically on a camera, so image quality has not been verified.
