Up for sale is a genuine, military-issue US Air Force MA-1 intermediate flight jacket dating exactly to 1979. This is an authentic piece of military history, not a modern commercial reproduction.It features the classic sage green heavy nylon outer shell, the iconic high-visibility rescue orange lining, and the period-correct, heavy-duty brass Delta zipper which functions perfectly.
Condition Report: This jacket is in excellent vintage condition and has been incredibly well-preserved:Knit Trim: The knitted cuffs, collar, and waistband are completely intact with no holes, rips, or moth damage (a rarity for jackets of this era).
Zippers: The main Delta zipper and the utility sleeve pocket zipper are both fully functional and smooth.Shell & Lining: The nylon shell has a great vintage patina. The orange lining is bright and free of major flaws. The jacket does have a skinhead patch on the right sleeve and a skinhead pin on the right sleeve, but doesn’t affect the overall look and feel of the jacket.
