The cult series which reprinted, then continued, Alan Moore's re-invention of the 1950's super-hero Marvelman from the pages of the acclaimed Warrior magazine.
"Scenes From The Nativity" by Moore and Rick Veitch: Following a brutal battle with Dr. Gargunza, Miracleman (Mike Moran) rescues his heavily pregnant wife, Liz. They do not make it to a hospital in time, forcing Miracleman to deliver their daughter, Winter Moran, in the wilderness. The story concludes with a major narrative shift when the newborn infant looks up and speaks her very first words immediately after birth.
Because the issue featured full graphic nudity and medical realism during the delivery sequence, Eclipse Comics printed a "PARENTAL ADVISORY: Explicit Content" warning on the front cover. This was unusual for the mid-1980s and caused many vendors to refuse to stock the comic for fear of parental protests.
This issue also features a tale of the far future's bounty hunters, Laser Eraser and Pressbutton, by Steve Moore and Mike Collins.
