1TB 7th Generation iPod Classic – Silver Boxy Pixel Housing with Custom Sycamore Back
This is a 1TB 7th Generation iPod Classic built in a silver housing from the first production run of Boxy Pixel's custom Classic enclosure. It has a custom quarter-sawn sycamore back plate in place of the standard metal back.
The original hard drive has been replaced with 1TB of flash storage installed in an iFlash uDual adapter. The original battery has also been replaced with a 3800mAh battery.
Other modifications include Bluetooth, Magnetic Safe-compatible wireless charging, a USB-C port, and a Taptic mod. Bluetooth allows it to connect directly to wireless headphones and speakers. The Taptic mod replaces the original click speaker with haptic feedback when scrolling through menus and making selections.
The first-run Boxy Pixel housing and custom sycamore back plate are both uncommon parts. Combined with the storage, battery, and additional modifications, this is a particularly unusual 7th Gen Classic configuration.
