1) ITEM DESCRIPTION
Condition : As shown in the picture, it's very good condition. No chips, No cracks.
This is a vintage Japanese pottery lid rest of Seto ware, which was made by a famous potter, the 3rd Jyotetsu Yamaguchi (Tetsuzan Matsumoto, 1955- ) about 30 years ago.
The seal of the potter is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature of the potter is also included.
Futaoki is used for tea ceremony.
Futaoki is used to put a lid of kettle or MIZUSASHI (water container) on it. Futaoki is one of essential item for tea ceremony or tea party.
