On a May night in 1941, a German parachutist landed in Scotland.  He gave his name as Rudolf Hess, Hitler’s Deputy Reichsführer.

Six years later, this man was sentenced at Nuremberg for war crimes.  He became prisoner No. 7 in Spandau gaol.

Hugh Thomas, the British military surgeon who attended prisoner No. 7, says categorically that this man was not Rudolf Hess.

This 1980 paperback edition book is in good overall condition however as with most used paperbacks there are signs of wear to the cover in the form of bumps, knocks, rubbing and marks to the edges and corners (see photograph).  All pages are present, secure, and free from tears, creases, and any significant marks other than some typical age-related discolouration to the page edges.  This paperback runs to 224 pages (17.5cm x 11cm) and is illustrated with an additional 8 pages of photographs.
