[1898-1902] Over 500 original signed New York bank checks, each with a 2c stamp, all cancelled in manuscript. All checks are cancelled with a central stab hole. All with rubber stamps to verso, most signed by the recipient. Each check is signed by the cashier, Charlotte Bullions Blandy (1865-1917), or her husband, Isaac Cruse Blandy (1866-1937).

The banks include, National Bank of Schuylerville, Glen Falls Trust Company, First National Bank [Greenwich, NY], and Bank of D. Powers & Sons [Lansingburgh, NY].

Bank of D. Powers & Sons was established by Deborah Powers (1790–1891), a successful businesswoman in 1877 at age 87. She was the first female to have started a bank in the United States and the oldest bank president in the country (101 years old).

All checks signed by Charlotte Bullions Blandy and her husband Isaac C. Blandy, a wealthy philanthropist, civil engineer, banker, railroad man and paper manufacturer. He was the president of the American Wood Board Company, a company he owned with NY Gov. John Adams Dix.
