1. Simplex Mode (VOX Control)
Connect the LPI-1 to a VOX-capable radio. Lifting the handset and speaking activates the radio's PTT. Incoming audio is routed back to the handset. To call the phone, the remote party sends the correct DTMF code while transmitting.
2. Half-Duplex Mode
Connect to a Dual-VFO radio or a separate Transmitter/Receiver pair. In this mode, lifting the handset immediately activates the PTT. Calling the phone can be set to CODE RING (DTMF) or VOICE RING (activated by any signal/voice).
3. Wireless Duplex Intercom
Using two LPI-1 units and dual-frequency operation, you can connect two remote telephones. It functions as a wireless "hotline." Calls can be initiated via DTMF or simply by voice for rotary phone compatibility.
