This pair of certificates (Ice-rtificate) celebrate the crossing the Arctic Circle on Royal Navy ship HMS Ark Royal in 1960 and 1961 and may interest a collector. They were recently given to me by a family member who served on the ship at the time.
The two certificates are:
- HMS Ark Royal 1960 personalised certificate on thick paper celebrating crossing the Arctic Circle "during Operation Swordthrust". Good quality with a couple of minor creases but no tears etc.
- HMS Ark Royal 1961 personalised certificate on ordinary paper celebrating crossing the Arctic Circle. Average quality as it has been folded in half with a couple of minor creases but no tears etc.
These are both from the period and are not reproductions.
Upon receipt of the payment, I will aim to dispatch within 2 to 3 days, work commitments permitting, via the eBay posting system. It will be a Royal Mail large letter as it is marginally too big for a standard letter.
