RRB / Photon Beard 16 × 20 Inch Darkroom Enlarging Easel
A substantial professional-quality RRB darkroom enlarging easel, associated with Photon Beard, designed for photographic paper up to approximately 16 × 20 inches or 40 × 50 cm.
Construction and Adjustment
The easel has adjustable masking blades which allow the image area and print borders to be set for a range of paper sizes. Graduated scales are fitted along the frame to assist with repeatable positioning, while the heavy construction helps the easel remain stable and hold photographic paper flat during printing.
Size and Weight
The easel measures approximately 71 × 58 × 7 cm overall and weighs approximately 7.1 kg. Its size and weight make it particularly suitable for a permanent or semi-permanent darkroom installation.
Condition
The easel is in used working condition with clear evidence of previous darkroom use. The frame, masking blades and fittings show marks, scratches, paint loss, tarnishing and general age-related wear, while the white baseboard has staining, spotting and surface marks. The masking blades and adjustment mechanisms operate, although some cleaning and minor lubrication may be beneficial after storage.

Shipping
A purpose-made shipping box has now been prepared for this easel, allowing it to be sent by parcel carrier rather than being restricted to collection. Owing to its size and weight, it will be securely packed as a substantial parcel. Collection in person is also welcome.
