Dragon Armor Panther G w/Zimmerit - Value Plus Series

Unit - Fallschirm Panzer Division 1- this division was formed in May 1944 when Panzer Division HG was re-designated. It was withdrawn from the front lines to Tuscany/Toscana where it was refitted before the planned move to France. When the Allied offensive to Rome began in May, it was rushed to the front where it was pushed back and the Allies entered Rome on 4 June. It was removed from the front at Florence in July and transferred to the Eastern Front. It fought the Soviet III Tank Corps north of Warsaw with the SS Panzer Division Wiking and 19 Panzer Division. The Red Army halted its offensive towards Warsaw and Magnuszew.  

Campaign - East Prussia, 1945 - After Warsaw, it fought the Soviet offensive in East Prussia in October 1944 and later took part in the static fighting between November 1944 and January 1945. It was sent to Radom in January 1945 where it fought the Soviet winter offensive but was soon forced to retreat towards Upper Silesia. When the war ended it was fighting near Dresden and tried to reach the advancing western Allies but was ultimately encircled by the Red Army.

Markings - white with yellow camouflage and 112 on turret in black. Zimmerit coating on turret and hull. 

Condition - new with minor wear on box and old price tag on lower right part of box. 

Note - the Value Plus line is composed of plastic rather than the diecast mix of regular Dragon Armor models.
