The Revell Germany 1:32 Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat / Martlet Mk.V (Kit #4784 / 04784) is a classic large-scale model kit originally issued in this specific configuration in 1992. It is an updated re-box of Revell’s vintage 1969 1:32 Wildcat tooling, prized by builders who enjoy large-scale vintage armor and aircraft projects.
- Scale: 1:32 Scale.
- Kit Number: #4784 (Also cataloged as #04784).
- Skill Level: Level 3 (Intermediate, traditional assembly and painting required).
- Kit Highlights: Features a detailed radial engine, movable control surfaces, a pilot figure, and the iconic Monogram/Revell working folding wing mechanism.
- Decal Options: Includes two distinct historic marking schemes:
- Martlet Mk.V: Complete with June 1944 D-Day invasion stripes, operating with 1832 Squadron, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm (FAA) at RNAS Eglington.
- F4F-4 Wildcat: Stripped down to late autumn 1943 markings, assigned to composite squadron VC-12 aboard the escort carrier U.S.S. Core.

Builder Notes
- Build Order Warning: Unlike modern Trumpeter or Tamiya 1:32 kits where landing gear can be added at the final step, this vintage tooling requires the landing gear mechanism to be installed before closing the fuselage halves. Masking it off for paint later takes a bit of planning.
