The Minicraft 1:48 #11608 Cessna 150 is a classic quarter-scale plastic model kit released in 1998. Because civil aviation kits are relatively rare compared to military subjects, this tooling remains highly prized by general aviation pilots who want to build the exact trainer they used for their first solo flight. The kit utilizes vintage molds originally engineered by the Japanese manufacturer Bandai and later marketed by Entex and Academy.

    Builders on the FineScale Modeler Forums note that the kit offers a surprisingly high level of detail despite its simple engineering: 
  • Full Engine Detail: Features an 8-piece Continental four-cylinder engine complete with an engine mount. The engine cowling can be left unglued or modified to be removable.
  • Interior: Includes a complete cockpit bucket featuring bucket seats, control yokes, a floor pan, a rear bulkhead, and an instrument panel. 
  • Surface Details: Modeled with fine recessed panel lines across the wings and fuselage. 
  • Display Stand: Uniquely includes an old-school clear plastic display stand for builders who want to showcase the aircraft in a "wheels-up" flight.
  • .ail-Sitter Alert & Tips
    Because the real-world aircraft is light on its nose, this tricycle-gear scale model is a notorious tail-sitter once fully assembled. Builders must pack a significant amount of lead shot or modeling clay into the forward fuselage nose cone behind the instrument panel before closing the fuselage halves. However, note that if you choose to display the engine with the cowl off, finding a hidden spot for this counterweight becomes highly challenging.
    Historical Context
    The real Cessna 150 is the fifth most produced aircraft in aviation history, with 23,839 units manufactured between 1958 and 1977. Revered as the quintessential two-seat civil flight trainer, its forgiving flight characteristics, simple fixed landing gear, and low operating costs made it the backbone of flight schools worldwide for decades. 



I use 5 different values for condition and they are as follows
#1 NIB Never been opened

#2 OBN Open Box New-All parts are still sealed in Mfg plastic (Exception may be clear parts or add ons)

#3 OBC-Open box complete- Parts have been removed from Mfg internal packaging-I checked every part to make sure everything is there and consider the model complete. Have put small loose parts in its on plastic bag and repackaged the sprues so no parts can get lost.

#4 OBCS Open box complete started -small parts have been glued together like wings, tail section, pilot to pilot seat or other mischelanious parts.

#5 OBNC-Open Box not complete-This may mean missing decals, small parts, Directions etc. These can be used to add to your parts collection or as diarama's as wrecked planes or other creative uses.

If we are out of an item, due to an inventory mis-count (Human error) we will attempt to acquire the item from a distrubutor or manufacturerto to fill your order . If we are unable to acquire the item in a timely fashion, we will contact you and offer you a full refund or your permission to back order the item for you. 

All shipments are FOB Origin. In other words once delivered to the freight carrier be it the USPS, UPS, FedX or any other carrier my responsibility ends. At the hand off to the carrier you are now responsible for the shipment. If it is lost or damaged it will be your responsibility to notify the carrier to either help find the shipment and or recover damages from the carrier. If you would like insurance I can add to the final invoice.
