This clearly has hauled in some salt water fish, there is some salt corrosion visible but does not impede function. There is also a chip on the reel (see pictures) that does not affect function.

This is ready to put to work but I have no idea how old the line is, so I would recommend replacement out of caution and accept no responsibility for the big one getting away if the line breaks.
