Beautiful, highly collectible Emerson BM247 repwood mantle radio featuring Snow White & The Seven Dwarves.
Nice example, as you can see in the photographs. The line cord has been replaced for safety's sake (the plug is original, however), but the radio otherwise appears to be factory correct and well-cared for. Clean chassis, clean cabinet finish (scattered minor nicks, marks and dings consistent with age and authenticity, along with some finish wear on top, visible in the pictures), prominent repwood relief decorations, clear dial cover, working dial light, crisp dial litho, etc. Original grill cloth, original acorn knobs, original dial pointer, original dial cover, etc.
The radio can tune strong local stations with a 30 foot run of antenna, but like all small tube count Emersons radios from this era, sensitivity is lacking, and it's difficult to pull in distant stations. Volume is decent, and the static level is normal for a radio of this vintage and circuit.
The radio does not appear to have undergone any level of restoration (except for the replaced line cord) and it is therefore being offered for historical/collecting purposes only. If you intend to power it up more than occasionally, you should have a qualified technician go through it and make electrical updates where necessary.
