24" JUMEAU Bebe ca 1895
French bisque socket head Bebe "Dep" is ca 1895 ,24" tall, and has dark blue glass eyes, mohair lashes, nicely painted upper and lower lashes, and feathered modelled browns. The mouth is open with four porcelain teeth and is wearing a dark brown human hair wig.
Nicely strung body is French composition & wooden multi-jointed with original paper label :"Bebe Jumeau, Diplome de Honour" at the base of the spine. Body shows slight wear on the surface of one wrist & one foot with evidence of a small repaint.
Mark on back of the head/neck: Dep 11" (incised) & Tete Jumeau (red stamp). There is no damage to the head including cracks, hairlines, or repairs and no discolorations.
She comes wearing a white long sleeve antique dress that shows signs of wear and melting in certain areas, slip, hat and original white dress short sleeve dress, original shoes a with bee symbol & Paris Depose 11" mark, original socks, pantaloons, and cloth covered parasol with wooden handle
