This is an original WWII issue U.S. Army Air Forces Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet, complete with its original factory-installed ANB-H-1 earphone receivers. Introduced during the war and becoming the standard USAAF flying helmet by late 1943, the A-11 was worn by thousands of Army Air Forces pilots, bombardiers, navigators, gunners, and aircrew members serving in every theater of World War II. It remains one of the most recognizable and desirable American flight helmets of the wartime era.

This helmet is in used, very good original condition and retains its original manufacturer's label indicating a Size Large. The leather remains supple with honest service wear that reflects its wartime history while maintaining excellent overall appearance.
