DESCRIPTION – Kodak Rainbow Hawk-Eye No. 2 Model C Box Camera.  See photos.  This camera has been little used – see exterior – none of the usual scrapes and rubs from routine use.   

The “Green Strap Mystery” – I have had this camera since the mid-1990s.  It came from a Harrisburg Pennsylvania private home estate sale – not a collector.  Has the appropriate strap (Model C), but the strap is “green.”   I have to assume that the strap is a replacement, but I have wondered if this was a factory mistake or a factory replacement.  Where and why would a private homeowner get a green strap of the same camera and model and then not really use it?  Finally, over the years, I have had a number of “blue” Brownie No 2A outfits that came with the original green field case that has a blue strap handle – just sold one in June 2026. 

Anyway, take a look – you decide.  Interesting.
