Nice original medal with original ribbon. In bronze, multiple hallmarks on medal - cornucopia and BR (bronze) and maker mark, measuring 30mm in diameter, very fine condition.

The Commemorative medal of the 1870–1871 War (French: Médaille commémorative de la guerre 1870–1871) was a French military campaign medal awarded to those who served during the Franco-Prussian War. The medal was awarded to participants who held the combatants certificate, of which it is believed 150,000 existed.
