A stunning example of a highly pyritised ammonite fossil containing the species Oxynoticeras lymense from the world famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.

The fossil measures 95 mm (3.7 inches) across, which is a huge size for this fossil type. It is well preserved with good details in the suture lines. This species is less common than many others from this location, and has a distinctive flat profile with wide whorls. A beautiful fossil that is packed full of detail.

Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
