1974 Rolex Datejust Oyster Perpetual 1601 Fluted Bezel Watch

About the watch & condition: 

Here we have a beautiful Rolex Datejust from 1974. This is just watch only, no box or paperwork, unfortunately this is common with older vintage watches. This has a lovely black dial and is powered by the later “hacking” version of the calibre 1570 automatic Rolex movement. The watch runs smoothly keeping excellent time, when tested over 24 hours it was within 10 around seconds. More details below;

The watch has a gorgeous black dial with the contrasting silver indexes & hands. It’s been kept in great condition aside from the centre seconds which does have some wear. While wearing though it looks great, a very elegant looking watch.

The watch is housed in a nice stainless steel oyster case with a fluted white gold bezel. These are always popular! The bezel is in excellent shape, There’s some light signs of wear to the case but nothing major at all. The bezel is nice & defined often these can be a little worn down!

The watch has its original Rolex screwdown crown which works/winds fine with no issues. The date on this model isn’t quickset which is correct.

The watch is sat on its original Rolex Jubilee bracelet with the early fixed link design. It’s a good size shuts firmly with a nice crisp Rolex logo. There’s some typical signs of flex which is to be expected along with some light scratches but nothing major whatsoever.

This is an automatic watch meaning it runs off the movement of your wrist. It can also be manually wound as all automatic watch can be. The watch has a small power reserve however if left for a period of time it will have likely stopped.

Due to the watches value it’ll be sold via eBay’s authentication programme again if you’re based in the UK so you’ll receive a card of authenticity upon arrival along with a small storage box!
