Bulbous silhouette with a flared trumpet mouth

form vases, featuring a rich and vibrant flambé /The necks are flanked by two expertly molded elephant-head handles, suspending free-moving, rings, a classic motif symbolizing strength and good fortune.

The exterior is covered in a deep, lustrous Sang de Boeuf (oxblood) glaze that flows beautifully down the body, pooling perfectly just above the neatly trimmed, unmarked foot rims that are  treated with a traditional iron-brown slip wash. There is a small glaze slip on one area and micro-crazing on the rim.

The interior necks reveal a mottled, deep strawberry-red coloration, scanty kiln-pitting, —hallmarks of traditional wood or coal-fired kiln production. The deep interior opens up to an exposed greyish-tan ceramic paste core, consistent with traditional hand-thrown assembly techniques.

This set beautifully mirrors classical Qing Dynasty aesthetics with its deep crimson red tones, highlighted by spontaneous hues of lavender.
