A relatively early set of this seminal epistemological work, with this edition building upon Desmaizeaux's editing with additional biographical details on Locke. Printed during the growing popularity of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, initially printed in 1781, which critiqued and built-upon many of the core ideas of Locke's works.
Remaining handsomely bound in original full speckled calf with fine gilt tooling to the backstrip, uncommonly well preserved.
See condition notes for further details.
