This is a vintage Japanese Sake cup of Utsutsugawa ware, which was made by one of the greatest potter, the 13th Gagyu Yokoishi about 45 years ago.
He was registered as the Human Important intangible Cultural Heritage from Nagasaki prefecture, Japan and was designated as a human important intangible cultural asset in 1975.
An egret is hand-painted on the inside of the cup.
The signature of the potter is written on the bottom. The wooden storage box with the signature of the potter and his profile are also included.
Utsutsugawa ware was started by 1st Gagyu Yokoishi in 1695.
