Lot of 3 KCBS/KFRC John Lennon Interview Sound Bites Final Interview Tape Reels

Items sourced from estate of disc jockey J Parker Antrim, who spent considerable time specifically at KFRC station here in SF (sourced with an extensive photo album of events/day-to-day at station). Likely acquired from a producer, technician or other disc jockeys themselves as collection included masters/archives from KCBS, WABX, KPAX, KGAL etc (one case is labeled "tape that got me my job at KGAL"). Full playback of tapes not tested in entirety. Please see labels on reels for content where available. Speeds may vary (even side to side).

Includes recording of airing of final interview done by Antrim. May have been a personal venture or for studio purposes (does have some static in the recording, later programming clear). Also has Ovid Demaris interview on same reel lending to it being a possible studio archive or master. Antrim was working at KCBS at the time as referenced in the video as being a source for the "private" interview with John Lennon years prior during the coverage and fallout of his assassination. The final interview was recorded by Dave Sholin of RKO which was the parent of KFRC and Sholin operated out of there. The second side of the broadcast video'd has a more clear version of the Lennon interview which could be a station copy or archive (1 7/8 ips).
