About the watch & condition: 

Here we have a beautiful Rolex Datejust from 1978. It has a stunning Buckley dial and has been kept in excellent shape for it’s age. The watch is sat on a later service bracelet dated 2005 likely swapped during a Rolex service. This watch is powered by a calibre 3035 automatic Rolex movement which runs smoothly, keeping excellent time. When tested over 24 hours it was within around 5 seconds. More details below;

This watch has the stunning Buckley dial in the white with the contrasting black Roman numeral indexes & hands. It’s a very elegant looking thing especially on the wrist! Its protected by a nice clean acrylic crystal which gives you a clear view of the dial.

The watch is housed in a nice stainless steel oyster case with an engine turned bezel. It’s in nice condition as shown with only minimal signs of general wear.

The watch has its original Rolex screwdown crown which works/winds absolutely fine with no issues. The date is quickset and works smoothly with no issues.

The watch is sat on a Rolex Jubilee service bracelet dated 2005. The bracelet itself works fine & the clasp shuts securely. It does have some light flex which is typical of pre owned jubilee bracelets along with some light scratches to the clasp. The Rolex crown is still nice & crisp!

This is an automatic watch meaning it runs off the movement of your wrist. It can also be manually wound as all automatic watch can be. After little/no movement the power reserve will drain & the watch will stop, we recommend winding the watch after it’s been sat for a long period of time. The power reserve is healthy & works as intended unless we’ve specifically said otherwise. This is a standard message for whose who are new to automatic watches!

This is for the watch, no original box or papers. This is unfortunately quite common for older vintage watches. We’ve also included a recent watch register check.

Due to the watches value it’ll be sold via eBay’s authentication programme again if you’re based in the UK so you’ll receive a card of authenticity upon arrival along with a small storage box!
