This auction is for a Vintage General Models Corporation No.4001 Diecast Metal O Gauge NW-2 Diesel Switcher Locomotive. It was made in the late 1930's or 1940's. It is in very good condition and it is complete except for the bell that is missing from the hood. It has a mechanical reverse unit that works and an on-off switch that is controlled by turning the inner stack on the hood. It runs on 3 rail AC and will also run on DC. It has been tested and it runs and tracks great except for the Thomas Industries center rail pick up slide shoes that tend to heat up after a few minutes. It would probably run better with a roller type pickup. It has a front and rear headlight that works. It measures 10-1/2" long. See all 17 pictures. NO RESERVE. Shipping weight is 6 Lbs..
