Unearth a dazzling, multi-mineral slice of Arizona’s rich mining history.

This remarkable old-stock specimen was sourced directly from the legendary copper mines of Bisbee, Arizona. Left raw and rugged on its exterior, the stone showcases a brilliant, textbook display of Bornite (Peacock Ore). When caught in the light, these areas erupt in a metallic, iridescent tapestry of deep royal purples, magentas, and electric blues shifting right alongside pockets of vibrant green malachite.

Turn the specimen over, and the clean-cut face reveals a magnificent, high-contrast maze of bright orange-gold Native Copper intricately woven through a rich matrix.

Because active mining in Bisbee ceased decades ago, authentic "triple-threat" ore specimens featuring native copper, malachite, and heavily tarnished bornite all in one chunk are increasingly rare. It is an exceptional find for serious rockhounds, geology enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates the wild, weird, and wonderful treasures of the desert.
