This exceptional original vintage 1924 snapshot originates directly from the personal archive of Lucille Lorraine Schoenfeld 1898 to 1971, a passionate young woman who dedicated her youth to the vibrant performance arts scene of the Roaring Twenties. While attending the historic Girls High School in San Francisco, California, Lucille immersed herself in a creative circle of friends who wrote original musicals and staged dramatic productions for local school and Jewish community performance groups.

The captivating image shown here, likely dating to her junior year, features Lucille showcasing her theatrical flair and striking looks as she poses leaning dramatically across a wooden table outdoors on the school campus grounds. She is elegantly styled in a dark Spanish dancer costume highlighting a towering dark comb style headpiece or hat draped in a floral black lace mantilla veil covering her finger waved hair. She wears a flowing dark dress accented by a light fabric flower corsage at her waist alongside classic pointed high heel character shoes. I will be listing many more of the incredible, costume filled individual snapshots from Lucilles prized personal album in the near future, so please be sure to keep a close eye out on my upcoming auctions.
