MINT Unused c1940’s? LHS
Uses Paper Filters, L&H Stern
Metal Body with Briar Bowl
New / Old Mint Condition!

Here is a cool early USA made pipe by L & H Stern Co. out of Brooklyn, New York. It’s only marked on the top of the stem, and I have not seen one like it before. There was a period of discovery in pipe design, where a metal body, many times with fins and such, were incorporated into the scheme. It’s a way to utilize new materials and technology to provide a cool smoke, and so on. This is such an example. It uses a turned wooden bowl, and in such is like a Kirsten or Falcon, and Comet. The main body is turned aluminum, with fins, and a screw cap at the forward end. It utilizes a paper filter, and a see-through stem as well. The pipe is unsmoked, and in great shape, with some slight oxidation on the aluminum, but excellent overall. Weighs in at about .9 ounce. Freshly polished and ready to smoke!

Please see my other Auctions! Combined shipping of multiple items no problem! Saves you money... Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner, pipe stand not included with any pipe. Click photos BELOW to enlarge, and see more photos! Returns OK before you smoke any pipe.
