Hi, these are the #18023 (6) Western Maryland Shay Diecast Steam Engine and Tender with Constant Lighting, Steam Railsounds and Smoke Unit that Lionel made in the 1992. Our Opinion is that they are generally in Mint Condition, test ran. Original Box. All Original in our Opinion.

Units were TESTED with conventional transformer and performed great forward, reverse, lights, sounds and smoke. Great set!


This has a reversing unit that ignores small losses of power (as in a turnout etc) were momentary loss of power will not make it activate. I demonstrated that at stop by activating the direction button too fast. It did not move! It is a great feature and as you can see after letting it sit for a second, it backed right up. The instructions are with this and show all features of this awesome train.
