This beautiful handcrafted Kokeshi doll was created by renowned Japanese artisan Miyashita Hajime, a recipient of the Prime Minister's Award.

The doll features a gentle smile, beautifully carved deep green hair, and an elegant hand-painted bamboo motif on the body. The warm natural wood grain and exceptional craftsmanship make it a wonderful example of traditional Japanese folk art.

The artist's signature is engraved on the bottom.

This Kokeshi comes from my late grandfather's cherished collection and has been carefully preserved for many years. It has a beautiful glossy finish and remains in excellent pre-owned condition. It is a charming piece that brings warmth and tranquility to any room.
