This is an unusual tapestry by Erhman. I believe it was designed as half of a tea cosy. I have only seen one previously and it came with 2 identical canvasses and two lots of wool. This is one canvas and it has some wool still in bundles and some which look like the remains of others. I have not found this design elsewhere and feel it is quite rare. With the additional wool it would be relatively straight forward to square off this piece to make a cushion front. I would be interested to know any other suggestions that it might be used for. I have enclosed a copy of the basic instructions which come with Erhman tapestries the original of which was in a previously sold kit.
