Description:

This is a rare antique first half of 20thC. Red Goose Shoes advertising counter top display. It is made from a 1/4" thick wood board with colorful graphic design. The center is inset with a plastic painted sheeting that illuminates with the bulb on the back side. I made the base and lighting for it as it was long gone. This goose is quite big at 24" tall x 12" wide, the base 10" x 10", you can trim to whatever size works for you. I have looked high and low for this lighted sign and can't find one anywhere on the internet. A rare piece for the advertising collector! When shipping I will remove goose from base (held with two screws, I used holes already in wood), and I will loosen bottom nut of light post and lay post flat for ease of shipping.

Measures approx.; Stands 24" tall x 12" wide, base is 10" square

Condition:

The plastic sheeting is worn in a few areas, it was probably from heat from old styled bulbs. The sheeting was originally held with staples which are still present, some one years ago added other fasteners and some tape to keep it in place. The wood duck form is in great condition with vibrant graphics, the base is newly made and can be cut to suit your needs if need be. Please view all photographs as they are part of the condition report.

My name is Kevin Bruneau and I have been in the fine arts and collectibles business for over 30 years. I've owned antique shops, auction houses, a consignment shop, and even did a TV reality show hunting down collectible treasures. Today I travel hundreds of miles per week to find interesting pieces to bring to my BKCranston eBay site. Most items are sourced from local house-calls, auctions, and estate tag and yard sales. My interests are broad so you will never know what I will list next. It could be an old master paintings or a baseball card collection. Be sure to check in often, as my store and auction offerings are forever growing and changing with fun and interesting new inventory.
