FX-AUDIO TUBE-03J+ Vacuum Tube Hybrid Preamplifier
✨ Overview
The FX-AUDIO TUBE-03J+ is a hybrid preamplifier combining a Texas Instruments NE5532 op-amp front stage with a 6K4 vacuum tube rear stage, delivering high-resolution audio with the warmth and harmonic depth characteristic of tube amplification. Designed for audiophiles seeking genuine tube sound at an accessible price, it features tone control, selectable gain, and premium audio-grade components throughout.
⭐ Key Features
- 🎛️ Hybrid Circuit Design: Op-amp handles volume and tone adjustment; vacuum tube adds harmonic overtones — combining the strengths of both technologies for distortion-free tube sound even at maximum volume.
- 🔧 Texas Instruments NE5532 Op-Amp: Renowned audio-grade op-amp in a DIP socket — swappable for further sound customization.
- 🎚️ Tone Control with Tone Direct Function: Independent BASS and TREBLE controls; Tone Direct mode bypasses tone circuitry for a pure signal path.
- 📶 High / Low Gain Selection: Two-stage gain setting via rear-panel DIP switch to match a wide range of source components and power amplifiers.
- ⚡ Active Power Filter Circuit: Power transistor-based active filter suppresses power supply noise for a clean, quiet audio background.
- 🔄 4th Lot Upgrade (from December 2024): Input/output coupling capacitors upgraded to TDK EPCOS MKT types — known for smooth, fatigue-free highs with warmth and high resolution.
- 🎵 6K4 Tube Included; 6J1 Compatible: Comes with a matched pair of 6K4 tubes. The circuit is 6J1-based — using 6J1 tubes (sold separately) is recommended for the full intended performance.
