The SS Puritan was a luxury steamboat of the famous Fall River Line. Built in 1888 in Chester, Pennsylvania, it was a massive 420-foot vessel designed to carry passengers in Italian Renaissance-style opulence across Long Island Sound between New York City and Fall River, Massachusetts.
