This is part of my mother's extensive collection of thimbles. She bought them all over 25 years ago from antique stores before anyone bought anything on the internet, so she paid a lot for them.

This thimble was made by the Simons Bros, one of the most prolific companies making thimbles in the USA.  Their maker's mark, the Shield/Thimble icon with a gothic 'S' is seen in the apex mostly intact along with the Sterling Silver marking.

The bottom of the band is what I am calling fancy drapes since that is what the pattern strikes me as similar to.  Above the design is the classic 'silver wedding band', a plain silver area that looks like a wedding band and just has the size 9 marking.   Its diameter is 16.5mm and its just slightly out of round on one side.  No holes and it has shined up very nicely with very minimal wear on the outside.  It will make a fine collectible.

I'll be glad to combine shipping. Just let me know and I will wait for the auctions you bid on to end before shipping.  See my feedback from many collectors who are enjoying these little historical prizes as part of their collection now.
