Description

Porcelain dog figurine of a Tricolor Wire Hair Fox Terrier. It is a charming collectible piece that captures the essence of the Fox Terrier breed with its detailed design. The dog sculpture has been slip cast, then carefully hand-painted white with black and tan markings, and glazed with gloss finish.
It will make the perfect gift for dog lovers and collectors alike.

This porcelain dog figurine was made in 2022 and put away in a warehouse. Never displayed, but I just noticed that it has cracks in its glazed surface. Please look at the photos carefully.

This dog figurine was cast from a vintage mold, which has probably been used, possibly by Lefton, since the '70s or '80s.
In those days, a large quantity of dog figurines was produced in Japan and exported worldwide under various brand names, such as Shafford, Napco or Lefton... Those manufacturers now no longer exist and their dog figurines are still available only in small quantities.

It has manufacturer's name 長江陶業 (Nagae Tougyou) on the belly with a sticker that reads "Seto-yaki"(瀬戸焼). 'Seto-yaki' is a general term for porcelain products made in Seto Japan, which includes all kinds of porcelain items such as animal, human, Disney and more figurines, and also chinaware for practical as well as decorative purposes. "Seto" is a city located in the center of Japan, and is also the center for Japan's ceramics industry.

There are two options available:
Air Small Packet, an economy shipping option, is offered by Japan Post, and an expedited shipping service is offered by DHL or FedEx. All services include tracking and insurance. Recipients have to sign for a package upon delivery.

Ship to USA

From August 2025, US customers should pay import duties on all goods imported to your country. Shipping to USA includes these taxes (not including your local sales tax) that I pay on behalf of buyers.

My store provides Japanese Seto-yaki porcelain figurines. 'Seto-yaki' such as these dog figurines, is a general term for porcelain products made in Seto Japan.
Seto is a city located in the center of Japan and also the center for Japan's ceramics industry.
From Occupied Japan Era to the late '70s, Seto-yaki items under various brand names used to be exported worldwide. However, as the ceramics industry has been declining year by year, many manufacturers have been forced to shut down their factories in the last few decades. Now there are still lots of vintage products and reproductions available from manufacturers/retailers out there.
