Vintage estate tobacco pipe by the William Demuth Company (WDC), identifiable by the iconic inverted triangle "WDC" trademark stamped into the briar. WDC was one of America's oldest and most respected pipe manufacturers, founded in 1862, with pipes historically gifted at presidential inaugurations from Garfield through Hoover.

This example features a dramatic full-bend shape with a long curved shank, briar wood bowl with nice natural grain, a nickel-toned metal band at the shank, and a black vulcanite/hard rubber stem.

Condition: Estate find, no smoke odor present. [Add any notes on chips, cracks, or stem wear you spot on close inspection, and whether the bowl interior is clean or shows cake buildup.]

A great piece for pipe collectors (tobacciana) or as a display piece showcasing classic American pipe-making history.

Since I don't have a full read on chips/cracks/bowl interior for this one, want to fill in that bracket before you post, or send me one more close-up of the bowl interior and stem tenon so I can help finalize the condition line?
